Now your next trip to New York City should be devoid of flying sharks laying waste to the Manhattan area. However, Sharknado 2: The Second One is here to illustrate the sights and sounds of the city just in case this ridiculous disaster takes place while traveling.

Ian Ziering has become something of a John McClane, finding absurd problems every time he travels to a new location.

This time around, Ziering's Fin Shepard (pause to appreciate the name) touches down in the New York area, bringing his shark jinx with him.

If you happen to like things that are fun, you might want to tune in to Sharknado 2, which premieres Wednesday, July 30 on the SyFy channel but will definitely be re-run a few times.

This iteration of flying sharks hopes to steal some of the magic from the first movie, which took place in and around Los Angeles. Basically, there was a lot of footage of both the beach and the freeway.

Much in the same way, Sharknado 2 is taking audiences into familiar stomping grounds throughout the city.

Just take a look at the trailer and you will see what I mean:

According to Hollywood, any disaster will obviously feature the Statue of Liberty in some capacity. With just a glimpse provided in the trailer, the movie will feature the Empire State Building, The Today Show set, Citi Field, a pizza parlor, taxi cabs and, of course, a the flying head of Ms. Liberty herself.

There is almost no reason to ever take a trip out to New York City, especially considering the weather report, which calls for a high of 80 degrees and a significant chance of being eaten.

Ziering spoke briefly about taking the Sharknado east with the Associated Press. The 50-year-old actor said with a smile, "Well because Los Angeles didn't rebuild it in time, we had to find some other state to destroy. And there is an incredible amount of iconographic structures here in New York City, so it seemed like the perfect place for a sharknado to strike."

If you missed the premiere or happen to want just a taste of camp, here is a scene that ends with how usual subway ventures end, unfortunate mishaps:

Sharknado 2 is bound to garner a tremendous amount of buzz, especially considering the lazy days of summer offer an opportune time for a channel like SyFy to shine.

You don't have to be familiar with New York City to enjoy the proceedings, because producers are going to hammer home the locale with flashes of the usual suspects from the town's most iconic landmarks.

Now if you happen to see Ziering's character looming around your town, run-a sharknado is coming.
