San Francisco's famously steep streets oft lead to excruciating jaunts up and down roads and annoyingly elaborate parallel parking adventures.
However, if you are of a sunny and cheery disposition you might use them for an inventive new video.
Ross Ching and Karen X. Cheng uploaded the following video (h/t Digg) to YouTube showing off a side of San Francisco you may not have considered before.
Sloping hills and steep streets pepper the city like seagulls, but that's no reason not to smile, tap your feet and enjoy a wonderfully jubilant video that will quite literally change your perspective.
Cheng explains on YouTube: "Ross got the idea for this video after seeing some photos with the 'tilted camera' effect on steep streets. Since San Francisco is so hilly, it was the perfect city for this idea. The week before we filmed this, we ran all around San Francisco looking for steepest streets we could find."
Cheng continues that the duo attempted a few ideas before settling on what makes it into the video presented above.
If you are considering your own street games, stay away from water and balloons, because both items apparently proved problematic.
Now we absolutely love San Francisco, which boasts amazing culture, food and people. However, the streets have always proved to be something of a nefarious gauntlet when trying to drive around.
For their next video we might suggest mystifying the Internet on ways to actually drive a stick in the city.
