This was a good week for ghost hunters, because we now have definitive, unequivocal proof that we are all destined to wander hotels in the afterlife.

Then again, the following super creepy photo could be a matter of lighting and image technology providing the necessary hiccups to play tricks on us all.

We still say ghosts - totally ghosts.

Fox News reports on Henry Yau, a man sadly devoid of proton pack who had the joy of staying at the historic Stanley Hotel recently.

During his stay, Yau snapped off a panoramic picture of a flight of stairs, only to find out later that this image featured something he hadn't accounted for when panning.

As you can see from the fallout, it was a ghost.

Normally we would end the article here and simply marvel at the absolute fact that ghosts are now a real thing.

However, we might as well dig a bit deeper into what is really an intriguing story.

First, the picture was indeed snapped at The Stanley Hotel, which we've covered before as the very spot that creeped out Stephen King so much that he wrote "The Shining."

And that was before smartphones.

Yau spoke with Fox News about the image and how he managed something that would make Ray, Egon, Winston and Peter proud.

Yau explains: "I had read about it being haunted but little did I imagine I would capture something. I don't like when people are in my shots, so when I took this photo, I had waited until the grand stairwell was cleared of people before taking the pic."

As you can see from the above post, this has been verified by an actual paranormal investigator, so you know it has to be true.

Disbelief aside, the entire thing does give us a slight tingle all over, especially when Yau recounts the uncomfortable and near sleepless night he had, which was before he even saw this image the next morning.

9 News spoke with Kevin Sampron who is a paranormal expert at SPIRIT Paranormal Investigations in Denver.

Sampron states, "When we blew up the picture, we immediately saw a second anomaly just to the left of the first figure. To us it looks like the first figure is a lady dressed in black and to the left of her it looks like a child."

Now we apologize for the lack of sleep you will have as well.

So we leave you with the above quote, which is complete proof that ghosts exist.

Forget the fact that Stanley's history alone is enough to make you feel uneasy around its halls. And please ignore all the times that using your panoramic mode on your phone led to visual hiccups and stutters that show all sorts of nonsense.

No, this was a case of definitive ghosts.
