A Donald Trump supporter recently made a big splash at Disney World, causing him to be permanently banned from the Most Magical Place on Earth.
Don Cini returned to Disney World last week after he was reminded he had violated park rules by displaying a Trump banner in the Magic Kingdom in September.
But apparently, the 49-year-old New York native, just couldn't help himself.
Earlier this month, Dion Cini rode down Splash Mountain at Walt Disney World holding a "Trump 2020" sign above his head. Then he held up a "Keep America Great" sign on Expedition Everest, according to the Orlando Sentinel. According to Newsweek, in the past several months he has also displayed pro-Trump banners on Broadway and at Yankee Stadium to show his support for the president.
Disney's park rules state that "the use of any flag, banner or sign to incite a crowd" is prohibited, but park officials decided to give him a second chance, under the condition he no longer displayed any more banners or flags.
"I wanted to actually abide by their rules, and not hold up a flag to incite a crowd, but I kind of wanted to test them," he told local station WFTV. "I just really wanted to find out whether or not it had to do with unfurling a flag, or what was written on the flag."
While a Disney spokesperson says it's not about the content or a political issue, but it's the "result of repeatedly not following park rules," the former Marine, who has also held an annual pass for two decades, claims park officials weren't clear about what he could and couldn't do.
"They never mentioned the fact that there was some kind of safety issue on the ride," he told WFTV. "That I was holding up a sign and I shouldn't be doing that."
Nevertheless, Cini says that after taking the picture, he was escorted off the property and he is now banned from all Disney World properties, including the theme parks, resorts, and Disney Springs.
He plans to fight the banishment in court.
