One undeniable travel trend in recent years has been the rise of women-only tours, and it shows no sign of slowing down.

A confluence of factors after the pandemic had led to a significant uptick in solo travel, led by women who are interested in venturing out with a group of like-minded fellow female travelers.

Tour companies have taken note, and as the trend has become more popular in recent years, a wide variety of women-only tours have become available to cater to any activity level or interest. Women-only tours in 2026 range from adventurous expeditions through remote areas and road trips through European villages, to restorative wellness retreats, and everything in between.

Whether you’re traveling solo, with a group of friends or sisters, or as a mother-daughter duo, there’s a women-only tour to suit your needs. Here’s a look at a handful of top-tier women-only journeys available in 2026.

Forest-Bathing in Japan with AdventureWomen

Women travelers can immerse themselves in the Japanese countryside on an 11-day walking experience with tour company AdventureWomen. Travelers will hike more than 15 miles of trails through some of Japan’s most ancient forests, observing shrines, meeting local female artisans, and soaking in natural hot springs along the way. Each night, the group will stay in villages at family-run guesthouses or small hotels. Additional highlights include exploring temples in Kyoto, spotting towering waterfalls, and visiting gardens and shopping districts in Tokyo. The journey’s activity level is ranked as Level 3: Dynamic, which means it features “regular activity on varied terrain with moderate elevation gains,” according to the tour company. The tour departs in September 2026 and starts at $11,995 per person, which includes just about everything except for international airfare and a handful of meals.

Surfing in Southwest France with Bonanza Collective

Spend five nights in a villa near the beach in Biarritz, France, learning to surf and exploring the Basque countryside. That’s what’s on offer with Bonanza Collective’s women-only surfing retreats. The trip is open to 12 women who start almost every day with a two-hour surf session, followed by a big group brunch back at Bonanza’s villa, which overlooks the ocean and the village below. Besides the surfing time, there will be a hiking day in the Pyrenees, a visit to a local surfboard maker, shopping in Biarritz’s boutiques, dinners out at the town’s restaurants, sunset swims, cheese and wine picnics, and more. The best part is that the retreat is open to all surf levels: no experience is required, as Bonanza partners with a local surf school that teaches the basics but can also help more experienced surfers improve, too. Travelers should be ready to get cozy with the group: each guest will be sharing a room and a bed in the villa. Retreats run from May through October and start at about $2,600 per person, which includes shared accommodations, surf lessons, meals at the villa, and a handful of other activities.

Longevity Wellness in Thailand with Anantara

Women travelers can indulge in a preventive and regenerative wellness retreat in Thailand meant to support healthy biological aging, thanks to a just-launched spa program at Anantara Layan Phuket Resort. The retreat takes place at the resort’s Layan LIFE spa and is designed for women and girls of all ages, from teenagers to women in midlife and beyond. The program uses advanced diagnostic technology to determine a personalized plan for each participant, including nutrition, movement, and therapeutic treatments through the lens of traditional Thai healing. “More women are choosing to travel together — mothers and daughters, sisters, lifelong friends — seeking experiences that offer learning, bonding and meaningful rest,” Anantara’s site says. “Layan LIFE’s retreats honor this shift beautifully: guests stay together, spend time together and enjoy shared workshops, yet each woman follows her own fully personalized wellness path tailored to her age, needs and goals.” Travelers can choose from two specialized wellness itineraries: the “Medically Guided Women’s Longevity Retreat,” which centers on support for perimenopause, menopause, and post-menopause; or the “Holistic Women’s Wellness Retreat,” which focuses on women who might be experiencing fatigue, chronic stress or sleep disruption. Both itineraries are three nights and are all-inclusive, with prices starting at $1,000 per person based on double occupancy.

Trekking in Morocco’s Atlas Mountains with Intrepid

Intrepid’s eight-day all-women hiking tour through Morocco’s Atlas Mountains is led by one of the region’s first local female guides. The journey starts and ends in Marrakech. Travelers are then transferred to the village of Bou Tharar, and from there, they will hike to the mountain villages of Agouti, Rbat, Issoummar, and back to Bou Tharar, where they will then be transferred back to Marrakech. On their trek, travelers will pass breathtaking land formations, including the dramatic desertscapes, rolling foothills, the red Agouti Gorge, and Tissardan pass, a famous outlook point over the M’Goun Valley. Along the way, there will be plenty of immersive experiences, including Amazigh music performances, home-cooked meals, cooking lessons, and a traditional rug-weaving demonstration. The trip is for travelers with enough physical stamina to walk for four to seven hours on unstable and hilly terrain three days in a row. It’s also a rustic tour, with simple, shared accommodations in village guesthouses and family-run gitas, or traditional terracotta guesthouses, that may not be heated, so each traveler needs a warm sleeping bag. Bathrooms are also shared, but travelers are guaranteed a hot shower each evening. Tours run from March to November and start at about $1,500—or less if you book at the last minute—which includes accommodations, activities, transportation, and most meals.

Roadtripping Through Portugal’s Countryside With JourneyWomen

If you dream of sipping port in its namesake city of Porto, eating fresh seafood on the ocean, and wandering through fortified medieval cities, consider joining JourenyWomen’s small group road trip through Portugal. The 11-day, women-only tour whisks travelers throughout Portugal, with stops in Lisbon, Porto, and The Algarve, as well as smaller towns along the way. Travelers will visit charming villages with cobblestone streets, get to explore the stunning Portuguese countryside, tour Unesco World Heritage sites, have wine tastings in the vineyards of the Douro Valley, see a fado show in Lisbon, and much more. Itineraries are available in May, July, and September 2026 and throughout summer 2027. Journeys start at about $5,500 per person, which includes accommodation, transportation, and activities in each stop, as well as daily breakfast and a handful of lunches and dinners.
