In a feel-good story for Christmas, one dad is helping travelers get home for the holidays.
Peter Shankman has racked up 350,000 frequent flier miles this year and he is sharing them with strangers who need help flying home for the holidays, reports the Huffington Post.
"With help from the internet, Shankman -- who travels the world speaking about marketing, as well as his experience with ADHD -- has donated his frequent flyer miles to people who are unable to travel for the holidays," writes Taylor Pittman.
This isn't the first time that Shankman has done this. His selfless project is in its fourth year. He has partnered with Abroaders to get people the best deal on their travels.
"People interested in receiving miles, which are with United Airlines, could share their stories on Imgur, and its users would vote. Shankman planned to send two to four people home for the holidays. Thanks to donated miles, he's sending 10," says Pittman.

Shankman tells the Huffington Post that he feels lucky.
"We bitch about everything: 'My flight is late, I have to get up early,'" he said. "But we're actually really lucky. We get to fly all over the place, see new things all the time. That I can do this -- I'm pretty fortunate."
