A transformation has taken hold at Ensemble since its 2022 shift from a cooperative to a consortium – a change that travel advisors say has markedly improved the network.
That was the overwhelming sentiment among attendees at the recent Ensemble Horizons 2026 conference held May 4-7 in Las Vegas.
TravelPulse caught up with three agency owners — two of whom were with Ensemble before it transitioned to a consortium and one who joined in 2025 — to learn more about how the change has improved business.
Networking Takes Center Stage
The most salient selling point of the Ensemble Horizons 2026 conference was the ability to connect in a meaningful way with the consortium’s executives, supplier partners and advisor colleagues, according to the agents we spoke with.
“It’s all about the networking, and it’s so important to make connections with people you normally would not get to see at a higher level,” said Stacey Acree, president of Brentwood Travel, which was an Ensemble member before the organization became a consortium. “Personal relationships at these events open doors for business growth, offering access to people at higher levels.”
A More Unified Network
Acree believes the revamped Ensemble is “more cohesive,” providing her agency with a better partnership while also unifying Canada- and U.S.-based advisors under one umbrella.
“Before that, Canada and the U.S. were separate, and we had two presidents,” Acree said. “The new Ensemble has brought everyone together.”
Human Connection in a Digital World
Similarly, Lauren Doyle, president of The Travel Mechanic — also an Ensemble member when it was a cooperative — says connecting with the consortium’s executives and colleagues, as well as strengthening relationships, are the advantages of attending Horizons conferences — particularly in a digital world.
“We’re all on social media, but we crave that human connection just like our clients, so it’s really important,” Doyle said. “I remember the first time going to a conference after the acquisition, and people were nervous. We didn’t know what to expect. But the transparency of the Ensemble leadership team gives us trust and confidence.”
New Members Feel Immediate Value
New Ensemble members Kristy Mosolino and her husband, Sam Mosolino, owners of Wishes Travel, joined the consortium in February 2025 and echo the opinions of Brentwood Travel’s Acree and The Travel Mechanic’s Doyle.
“We did a deep dive in October 2024, knowing we needed to make a consortium change, so we interviewed the top five consortia and narrowed it to two,” Kristy Mosolino said.
Culture, Leadership and Feeling ‘Seen’
The decision to join Ensemble came in the aftermath of Sam Mosolino’s attendance at an Ensemble regional Skyline event, when, upon his return, he told his wife, “We are not missing another event; they’re fantastic.”
“The culture here, the leadership team, the energy and the cohesiveness of the team makes you feel like family immediately,” Kristy Mosolino said. “And we felt seen and valued.”
Support That Translates Into Business Growth
That feeling of being seen and valued, Kristy Mosolino says, was immediately reflected in her agency’s business.
“Our team was emboldened and excited because they now had service, assistance, support and cheerleaders to help them,” she said, adding that the agency’s “business development manager has been wonderful and even reaches out to our individual advisors.”
Ensemble’s engagement with its members is apparent in more granular ways, as well. Case in point: The consortium congratulated the couple on their daughter’s soon-to-be graduation and asked about their recent family vacation, “because they knew exactly where we went,” Kristy Mosolino said.
Strengthened Supplier Relationships
The agency’s engagement with supplier partners is also thriving.
“Ensemble has opened doors for us with suppliers, which are handpicked for our agency,” Kristy Mosolino said, adding that suppliers with which the agency has had long-term relationships are also now thanking Wishes Travel for the steady, longtime business.
Feeling Valued
In the end, Ensemble's engagement with its agency members resonates most with the Mosolinos, who feel valued and supported by the organization.
“We’ve never felt seen with a consortium before now,” Kristy Mosolino said.
