Throughout 2017, Bahamas' Nassau Paradise Island has been the site of numerous additions, including a new Grand Hyatt resort.
Opened in April 2017 as part of the Hong Kong-based Chow Tai Fook Enterprises Limited's Bahar Mar resort development project, Grand Hyatt Baha Mar has a prime location on Bahamas' Cable Beach. The hotel's East and West Towers hold 1,800 contemporary rooms, including 230 one-, two- and three-bedroom suites. Each guestroom also features a balcony.
For staying poolside, Grand Hyatt Baha Mar provides five expansive pools incorporating different "personalities"-in catering to adults and/or families-as well as offering seating sections along Cable Beach.
Grand Hyatt Baha Mar's Beach Sanctuary also houses native marine life such as nurse sharks and manta rays as an educational and conservational project.
As for dining and nightlife, Grand Hyatt Baha Mar has restaurants and eateries for starting off the day with breakfast and also bars for ending the night with dinner and drinks. Menu selections extend to intercontinental choices and Caribbean dishes. For starters, Café Madeleine serves pastries, macaroons, plus other French breakfast and lunch fare, while Three Tides has an open theater kitchen setup with an all-day service at this Mediterranean restaurant.
Other high-end eateries include Katsuya-a branch of the designer sushi restaurant brand founded by Chef Katsuya Uechi-and Drift, serving Pan-Latin Flavors within a casual setting. Cocktails can be enjoyed at Churchill's-a rum and cigar aficionado's lounge-or taken go to from Daqs, a side bar near the beach that prepares made-to-order daiquiris.
Back inside the hotel, Grand Hyatt Baha Mar offers nighttime entertainment within the Blue Note, a live jazz bar. For high rollers, Baha Mar Casino has 100,000 square feet of gaming space, more than 1,000 state-of-the-art slot machines, 126 table games, race and sports betting, mobile gaming and exclusive high roller gaming salons throughout the casino floor.

Golfers can head to Royal Blue Golf Course, a signature Jack Nicklaus golf course that is considered to be the first Nicklaus design of its kind in the Caribbean.
Designed as two courses in one, the course's front nine holes provide players with views of rolling white sand dunes and glimpses of the Atlantic Ocean. The back nine holes might provide more of a challenge with limestone moonscapes and a steep downhill terrain to get to the island green on the 16th hole.
Another first related to the Grand Hyatt Baha Mar involves its spa services:
Said to have the first flagship ESPA spa in the Caribbean, the Grand Hyatt Baha Mar's ESPA at Baha Mar has a 30,000-square foot facility offering signature treatments inspired by The Bahamas, with 24 private treatment rooms, saunas and steam rooms, relaxation zones, and experience showers.
