Destination by Hyatt Hotels Corporation and El Pardo
Hospitality unveiled the new hotel that will be joining the Destination by
Hyatt brand, The
Legend Paracas Resort, located in Paracas, Peru, about three miles south of
the capital of Lima.
When it opens in June, this will be Destination by Hyatt's first hotel in
Peru, as well as the continent of South America. Currently, the hotel is
being upgraded as part of a 24-month improvement plan, which includes elevating
guest rooms, offering new culinary options, and redesigning public areas on top
of what currently exists at the hotel.
The property includes 124 private suites with private
balconies, a fitness center, a spa, an ocean-facing pool with a swim-up bar,
and an on-site restaurant and bar featuring locally inspired Peruvian cuisine.
The Legend Paracas Resort will also boast a range of
activities, including kitesurfing, wakeboarding, kayaking, paddleboarding,
sandboarding, and buggy excursions, as well as a range of kid-friendly adventures.
“We are very excited to join Hyatt’s Independent Collection
and deliver the Destination by Hyatt brand promise in the charming town of
Paracas, Peru,” said Ricardo Bracale, CEO of El Pardo Hospitality.
“This next chapter will allow us to further elevate our
value proposition and offer guests and World of Hyatt members an even more
personalized and memorable experience that allows a sense of connection to the
unique culture and community of Paracas,” Bracale continued.
A Mix of Cultural Experiences and Luxury
The Legend Paracas Resort is located between the Paracas
Nature Reserve and the Pacific Ocean and is designed to reflect the region
around it. It includes woods and fabrics inspired by the surrounding areas and
stunning views.
“Our plan to thoughtfully grow our brands in South America
continues, and we look forward to introducing guests and World of Hyatt members
to new cultural experiences in one-of-a-kind destinations,” said Cristiano
Gonçalves, vice president, development – South America.
In addition to what the resort offers in-house, guests can
also venture out and explore the fascinating pre-Columbian cultures of the
surrounding area, as well as tour the region’s diverse nature reserves and
animal sanctuaries, which range from islands to deserts.
