Caribbean
all-inclusive leader Sandals
Resorts has concocted a one-of-a-kind gig for one lucky new hire who will
get to work sampling and fine-tuning cocktails for its new Poolside Sippers
menu. In the exclusive role of Caribbean
Cocktail Critic, this person will be part of a stirring pilot program at
the company’s newest Jamaican resort, Sandals Dunn’s River.
One lucky
individual will be selected to jet off to the enchanting property, accompanied
by their plus one, where they will collaborate closely with Sandals’ team of
expert mixologists to test and refine an array of tempting libations, ranging
from Island Punches to Skinny Cocktails, and beyond.
The chosen Critic
will evaluate current recipes and experiment with a variety of such natural and
locally grown ingredients as sorrel, soursop, coco water and even a smidge of
scotch bonnet pepper, to create a refreshing set of riveting new cocktails.
As part of their
duties, this individual will take part in a custom, interactive cocktail-tasting
experience in which they’ll explore both classic and cutting-edge flavors. The
successful applicant’s input amid this process will play a pivotal role in
shaping the final menu, which will afterward be rolled out across Sandals'
portfolio of adults-only Caribbean resorts.
To successfully
perform their role, the Caribbean Cocktail Critic will report to Sandals Dunn's
River and occupy accommodations in a lavish Tufa Terrace Skypool Suite,
complete with 24-hour butler service and an infinity-edge pool that runs along
the length of the balcony. With the pool bar just a short, sundrenched stroll
away, the Cocktail Critic will enjoy the world’s best commute that lasts about
five minutes and can be performed in flip-flops.
"Punch is a
quintessentially Caribbean tradition enjoyed under the sun since as
far back as the 1600s, beloved for its refreshing island flavors like coconut,
pineapple and even nutmeg for a hint of spice," said Ricky
DuQuesnay, Corporate Director, Food & Beverage, at Sandals Resorts.
"Sandals' new
Poolside Sippers offer an elevated interpretation of these coveted classics—from
the Jamaican Planter's Punch to the Bahamian Goombay Smash—complemented by a
selection of Skinny and Zero Proof cocktails and even spirits in their simplest
form, mixed with coco water. The final garnish is simply asking the guest—inspiring
our search for a Caribbean Cocktail Critic."

this enviable position are being accepted through 11:59 p.m. EST on June
