For the eighth consecutive year, Expedia.com has released its Insiders' Select rankings, recognizing the world's best-reviewed hotels and resorts.
The rankings are developed using Expedia customer feedback, and in order to make the cut, properties must deliver in a handful of key areas, including value, amenities and customer service.
Eligible accommodations must also maintain a minimum guest review score of 4.7 out of five.
This year's list contains 650 hotels. You can view them all at Expedia.com, but here's a look at 2015's elite properties, the top 10 Insiders' Select Winners.
1. Royal Palms Hotel, Bermuda
2. Calenga Apartments, Croatia
3. Pumilio Mountain & Ocean Hotel, Costa Rica
4. Woolleys Classic Suites, United States
5. Dormy Inn Sapporo Annex, Japan
6. B+B Edinburgh, United Kingdom
7. Hotel Panorama, Italy
8. Santhiya Koh Phangan Resort & Spa, Thailand
9. Hotel Orion Motobu Resort & Spa, Japan
10. Best Western Premier Weinebrugge, Belgium
Despite the fact that Aurora, Colorado's Woolleys Classic Suites was the only U.S. property to make the top 10 in 2015, U.S. hotels accounted for 50 percent of the 650 total Insiders' Select winners, up from 37 percent last year.
Japan was the only country to have two properties featured in the top 10, while European hotels accounted for 40 percent of the top 10.
"The simple fact is, every traveler is looking for value out of their hotel experience," said Expedia.com Vice President and General Manager John Morrey in a statement. "Value can be defined in many ways by different people. But when you aggregate that feedback, you come away with a list of hotels that simply do it right, day in and day out."
"For Expedia, when we share a summary of real reviews penned by real hotel customers, we are giving travelers the data they need to make booking decisions," he concluded.
