The Grupo Vidanta has launched a new brand, dubbed The Estates, that will help the hospitality company make a jump into the luxury travel sector in Mexico.
The Estates brand will be introduced by the Grupo Vidanta in Vidanta Nuevo Vallarta and Vidanta Riviera Maya, two of the seven destinations where Vidanta already has a presence.
The Grupo Vidanta is pushing the new brand as a private sanctuary for travelers that will reflect the beauty of the surrounding natural landscapes. The company also plans to build a 300-room complex in Los Cabos by 2020.
"The introduction of The Estates represents our continued commitment to transforming the hospitality industry and cementing Mexico's position as one of the world's premier tourist destinations," Grupo Vidanta executive vice president Ivan Chavez said in a statement.
"The Estates are bold and innovative, revolutionizing the concept of luxury, and will go above and beyond in style, personalization, comfort and service, even for the most discerning traveler," Chavez continued.
While the hospitality expansion is a big part of Grupo Vidanta's future plans, the company has also shown support for the construction of the Mayan Train and is investing in the development of a port in Vallarta to enter the cruise business.
Grupo Vidanta owner Daniel Chavez was one of the eight economic advisors chosen by the new president of Mexico, Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador.
