Inside Three New Hotels on Florida’s Palm Beach Island

Palm Beach, South Florida’s luxe resort enclave, has added a few new properties to its offerings.

The tony island, just across the bridge from buzzy West Palm Beach, is known for its sophisticated accommodations, and up until this year, there have been few additions to the exclusive roster.

This year, though, travelers will have three new and updated resorts to choose from: Tideline Palm Beach Ocean Resort & Spa, Palm House, and The Vineta Hotel. Read ahead for what to expect at each property.

Palm House

Palm House, a 79-room luxury boutique property, officially opened in November 2024, and the property marks the first new hotel on the island in four years. Just steps from the beach and situated between Worth Ave and Royal Poinciana Plaza, Palm House Hotel is the first U.S. property for the London-based L+R Hotels Iconic Luxury Hotels division.

“Palm House represents an evolution in Palm Beach, raising the bar on luxury while maintaining a playful edge,” said Natalie Le Clerc, general manager. “We look forward to graciously welcoming guests and locals for generations to come."

The hotel’s interior design combines playful Palm Beach charm with nautical glam. From the grand porte cochere or courtyard, visitors will step into the Palm Bar, which features a pink marble countertop, a seashell installation wall, and Murano glass chandeliers suspended from a vaulted ceiling. The Palm House Dining Room has a similar coastal decor, with teal seating, coral accent pillows, and gold fixtures. The chic restaurant offers a Japanese Peruvian menu and all-day dining.

Palm House has 58 guestrooms and 21 suites, each averaging 550 sq ft, some of the largest on the island. The guestrooms are a lesson in maximalist luxury: coral headboards, woven wall sconces, and antique mirrors make this a one-of-a-kind property. The opulent, two-story, one-bedroom, 1.5-bathroom Presidential suite features two balconies overlooking the pool and comes with butler service.

The Vineta Hotel

Opening in spring 2025, The Vineta Hotel is a 41-luxury room hotel just two blocks from Worth Ave. This will be the first U.S. property for the Oetker Collection, the luxury hotel brand behind Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc in the South of France and Eden Rock - St. Barths. The hotel’s signature restaurant, Coco’s, will feature a menu curated by the Executive chef and pastry chef of Hotel Cap-Eden-Roc, and the property received a top-to-bottom renovation led by Paris-based interior designer Tino Zervudachi.

“The concept behind the interior design for The Vineta Hotel is to infuse it with a fresh Palm Beach feel by bringing in clean lines, a relaxed ambiance, and a stylish and younger feeling palette of colors,” said Zervudachi. “It’s my aim to create a real new venue for visitors and residents alike – taking extra care to enhance the exterior dining spaces both at the pool and the courtyard – by establishing a cosmopolitan look that blends European design cues with the destination’s unmistakable aesthetic.”

The Vineta Hotel is housed in a nearly 100-year-old building, and it’s reclaiming its former name after operating as a residential property and then as The Chesterfield Palm Beach hotel. Developers have kept some of the hotel’s original essence, like the pale pink facade and Mediterranean Revival architecture, a nod to Palm Beach’s 1920s heydey. Inside, the room count was reduced from 53 to 41 to allow for more spacious suites, which feature soft pink walls and contemporary furniture. Guests can also look forward to relaxing by the hotel’s sparkling pool, flanked by pink loungers and umbrellas.

Tideline Palm Beach Ocean Resort and Spa

Fresh off a $25 million renovation, the beachfront Tideline Palm Beach Ocean Resort & Spa boasts a bright, airy new design. The property was formerly the Omphoy Ocean Resort, and the top-to-bottom renovations were completed in mid-2024. The hotel’s exterior has a glass-fronted, contemporary architecture that’s a departure from the Mediterranean buildings that Palm Beach is known for, but the clean lines and soaring lobby ceilings feel sleek and elegant.

“The refurbishment of Tideline has touched all areas of the resort, from our pool entrance to the grand lobby to our coveted beachfront. We have tailored all touch points to deliver a sophisticated travel experience unique to Tideline,” says Jeff Greene, Tideline Owner & Developer. “Our guest rooms feature a lighter, soothing color palette that reflects our prime oceanfront location. My vision was to go beyond the boutique hotel concept and offer discerning guests a place that feels like home.”

The hotel boasts 134 rooms and suites, which have been updated with new flooring, marble countertops, and luxe Fili D’Oro linens. Standard King bedrooms start at a comfortable 330 sq ft, and the King bed suite is a generous 775 sq ft. The hotel also has two unique dining experiences: Brandon’s, an oceanfront restaurant with coastal cuisine, and Mizu, a minimalist-designed sushi bar. For day visitors or overnight guests, there’s a 6,000 sq ft spa, which offers a variety of massages, body treatments, and facials.
