Daily resort fees can be the bane of some travelers’ existence, paying for some things you don’t even use.
The fees can include local and domestic phone calls from the room, internet service and fitness center, among other fees. It doesn’t even matter whether you take advantage of some things.
That’s why some people have sticker shock when they check out and receive their final bill. Some great deals on the price of the room can be negated by the resort fee.
Now MGM Resorts is raising those fees in it properties in Las Vegas.
So use it or lose it. Either way, you’re getting charged.
The increased fees range from $2 and $6 depending on the property. Resort fees are now $37 at Luxor and Excalibur, $42 at The Signature, Park MGM, NoMad and New York-New York, $45 at MGM Grand, Mandalay Bay and Delano, and $50 at Bellagio, Vdara, ARIA and The Cosmopolitan.
Many casino-hotels now also charge a daily parking fee.
