Groups staying at The Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua in Hawaii can work on strengthening relationships while they give back to the environment and locals through new customizable give-back retreats.
Corporate teams and groups will be able to immerse themselves in the destination while volunteering for a variety of services that include cleaning up beaches, planting trees and assisting at local community centers.
The five-star Maui hotel is located on one of Hawaii's largest nature preserves, meaning guests won't have to travel far to participate in the retreats.
Participants can also educate themselves about the local culture and eco-systems through the on-site Ambassadors of the Environment Program. For example, guests can learn about Maui's marine life while snorkeling in the Pacific Ocean.
The luxury hotel's Cultural Advisor, Clifford Naeole, will also be on hand to assist guests. Nae'ole will work to develop a volunteering package for groups based on their interests and goals.
"The purpose of this new initiative is to provide guests with an enriching and rejuvenating local experience," Naeole said in a statement. "The hotel has always been focused on culture, health and wellness, and giving back is another way in which guests can improve their mental and spiritual well-being."
"Community-oriented ideals are an integral part of the Hawaiian culture, and participating in this program allows groups to get to know the people of Hawaii while immersing themselves in its natural beauty."

Groups participating in the customizable give-back retreats will also have the option of donating directly to local charities, which Naeole works closely with.
