Situated on 23 oceanfront acres at the iconic Pu‘u Keka‘a
(Black Rock), the Sheraton Maui
is again open to leisure travelers following Maui’s 2023 wildfires.
In celebration of its reopening and continued support of its
associates and neighbors, the resort is offering guests three new package offerings.
“While Sheraton Maui and the area of Kaanapali were
physically untouched by the fires, many of the associates that make up our
Sheraton Maui ‘ohana (family), lost their homes, possessions, and even loved
ones. It has been our number one priority in reopening the resort that we
incorporate programming that gives travelers the opportunity to give back to
our community, which is still grieving and has lost so much,” said Tetsuji
Yamazaki, general manager of Sheraton Maui Resort & Spa.
He added, “The Aloha for Sheraton Maui Relief Fund, which
was founded by our owners Kyo-ya Hotels & Resorts in partnership with
Charitable Ventures to support impacted Sheraton Maui Resort ‘ohana, is a key
component of our reopening efforts.”
The three new give-back
offerings include:
Return to Maui – where travelers can show their love and
support for the island of Maui with the click of a button by booking Sheraton
Maui’s Return to Maui package.
Guests enjoy daily breakfast for two at the resort’s
signature restaurant Coral Reef, a $100 resort credit, and a $100 donation per
stay to Maui Imua – Aloha for Sheraton Maui Relief Fund, which goes directly to
the resort’s associates and their families who were impacted by the wildfires.
Rates start at $709 per night with the package available through April 30, 2024,
using promo code: SPE.
Malama at Your LEIsure – in collaboration with local lei
artist Danielle Kincaid and her Lahaina-based business Lei by Danielle,
Sheraton Maui is offering commemorative Hawaiian leis to resort guests who
donate a minimum of $100 upon check-in at the front desk to the Maui Imua fund.
Crafted by hand, the leis are made from Burmese wood beads
and flower petals molded from polymer clay, featuring pink flowers symbolic of
the Maui flower, the Lokelani rose. 100 percent of each donation goes towards
the Maui Imua fund created by Kyo-ya Hotels & Resorts to provide financial
assistance to resort associates impacted by the wildfires.
Discover More of Maui – represents the resort’s new
programming to continue its connection with and in support of the local
community in a time of great need, while encouraging guests to discover more of
the island’s diverse offerings.
On February 5, 2024, Sheraton Maui launched its “Meet the
Artist” initiative created to support Maui’s community of fine artists
following the loss of Front Street in Lahaina, one of the U.S.’ top-grossing
art districts.
The “Meet the Artist” series provides a venue for creators
to showcase their work and amplify their vision and expression to world
travelers. Sheraton Maui is proud of its community’s art-forward identity and
through this series, seeks to help sustain the commercial viability of creating
and sharing art on Maui.
