Super Bowl 50 may be taking place in Santa Clara, California, next month, but the Bay Area is only a short flight away from Las Vegas.
And while many travelers passing through Sin City on Super Bowl weekend will be making last-minute bets on the Big Game, the SLS Las Vegas will be celebrating football and its fans by hosting an epic weekend of events.
Friday, Feb. 5
It all starts at 6:30 p.m. local time (5:30 p.m. for VIPs) Friday, Feb. 5 when award-winning chef Jose Andres hosts the hotel's first-ever Dine-N-Dash event. Andres will be accompanied by celebrity chef Curtis Stone during live cooking demonstrations and well-known mixologist Rob Floyd will present a "cocktail theater."
Afterward, SLS Las Vegas' recently unveiled 1,800-capacity music hall The Foundry will host a live performance by electronic rock group Awolnation. The show is scheduled to begin at 8 p.m. local time with tickets starting at $35.
Visitors can tack on another $99 for a ticket to the Dine-N-Dash event or purchase a VIP ticket for $199 that includes a ticket to the Awolnation concert as well as an exclusive happy hour get-together with Andres and Stone in Bazaar Casino.
Saturday, Feb. 6
Since Super Bowl 50 doesn't kick off until Sunday afternoon (evening on the East Coast), guests at the SLS Las Vegas are encouraged to stay up late and return to The Foundry Saturday night for another celebratory concert.
At 10:30 p.m. local time, hip-hop superstars Lil Wayne, Method Man and Redman will take to the stage for a live performance. Tickets to the show start at $30 per person. VIP tables are also available for purchase.
Sunday, Feb. 7
The weekend celebration culminates Sunday afternoon with a pair of Super Bowl viewing events.
Beginning at 2 p.m. local time, fans can head over to Umami Burger, Beer Garden & Sports Book to participate in the Big Game Bash. In addition to GQ Magazine's "Burger of the Year," the venue boasts dozens of flat-screen televisions as well as a giant video wall.
There's also the Big Game Viewing Party at The Sayers Club starting at 2:30 p.m. local time. Here, guests can watch the game while overlooking The Strip and enhance their experience with a $60 open bar ticket good for unlimited drinks between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m.
The hotel will also offer VIP packages including drinks, food and seating starting at $1,000.
Regardless of whether the game lives up to the hype, the celebration at the SLS Las Vegas promises to deliver.
