DoubleTree has opened a new oceanfront property in one of Maryland's most famous beach towns.
The DoubleTree by Hilton Ocean City Oceanfront is located just steps from the Atlantic Ocean and a mere five blocks from the Maryland city's popular boardwalk.
The hotel has just undergone a multimillion-dollar renovation, which included updating guest rooms, redesigning the lobby, installing new furniture throughout the property and adding eco-friendly and high-tech touches. The hotel also has two outdoor pools, one indoor pool, and a beach volleyball court.
"We are thrilled to welcome travelers to DoubleTree by Hilton Ocean City Oceanfront, which embodies the unique and welcoming characteristics found at the brand's more than 525 locations," Shawn McAteer, senior vice president and global head, DoubleTree by Hilton, said in a statement. "The unbeatable location and top-notch amenities allow guests and travelers to find the escape they are looking for just as beach season kicks off."
Additional highlights of the DoubleTree by Hilton Ocean City Oceanfront include expansive, modern meeting and event space, ranging from newly renovated indoor and outdoor venues to penthouse suites suitable for professional gatherings.
Among the property's multiple dining options is the Marlin Moon Restaurant and Bar, which serves up locally-sourced seafood and local craft beer selections. The Sandshark Pool Bar meanwhile, features unique drinks, craft beers and a lite fare menu on the beachfront pool deck. There's also DoubleTree Made Market for grab-and-go options, including a Starbucks Coffee kiosk.
The hotel's signature services and amenities include a 24-hour fitness center featuring new Precor equipment, an indoor atrium pool, outdoor beachfront pool, outdoor rooftop pool, sauna and hot tub. The property will also offer complimentary Wi-Fi in all guest rooms and public spaces.
"We think the opening of the DoubleTree by Hilton is a great addition to the Hilton portfolio of hotels in Ocean City," Andrew Geiger, general manager, DoubleTree by Hilton Ocean City Oceanfront, said in a statement. "We look forward to welcoming travelers from the region and around the country to enjoy all that Ocean City has to offer."
