If you have a vehicle that uses traditional fuel, there’s good news. Gas prices are down.
If you have an electric vehicle, not much has changed. Rates have stayed just about the same.
AAA is reporting that gas prices fell six cents since last week and are down to $3.38 per gallon. That’s still higher than last year but is the lowest point since March 6 of this year.
However, the national average for L2 commercial electricity has not changed for a month.
“The clouds of war overseas are less dark at the moment, and the Atlantic is quiet now too, which is taking pressure off of oil prices,” said Andrew Gross, AAA spokesperson. “More retail locations east of the Rockies are selling gas below $3 a gallon. Will this trend continue through the end of the year? Stay tuned.”
AAA says the kilowatt-per-hour cost for Level 2 (L2) commercial charging is 34 cents.
AAA is also predicting a huge Labor Day week of travel both by vehicle and air.
