A newly released report, titled "Understanding the Rise of Ecotourism 2023", charts the investigation of an impactful worldwide phenomenon that’s continuing to evolve and grow within the global travel industry.

Representing the results of a comprehensive seven-year study, the groundbreaking analysis drew upon data from more than 50,000 participants collected between the years of 2016 and 2023.

The data was taken from a variety of third-party sources, including academic journals, market research studies and research conducted by such sector institutions as the World Tourism Organization.

The report’s findings offer some valuable insights into the ways that ecotourism has grown into a powerful movement that’s shaping consumer travel behavior and driving increased environmental consciousness among the traveling public.

The analysis zeroed in on ten influential aspects of the ecotourism industry over time, focusing on the evolution of the global public’s outlook on conservation, the roles of travel companies in advancing sustainability and offering forecasts for the future.
