The infamous "serial stowaway" was arrested in Chicago twice in a span of two days this past Fourth of July weekend.
According to the Chicago Tribune, 63-year-old Marilyn Hartman was arrested and charged with criminal trespassing and violation of her bond at Chicago O'Hare International Airport on Saturday after she attempted to pass through security without a ticket.
One day earlier, Hartman was arrested at Chicago Midway International Airport after causing a disturbance aboard a plane. She was charged with misdemeanor reckless conduct in that incident.
Both arrests came just hours after she was released from Chicago's Cook County Jail.
"If I have a ticket, I can go," Hartman told reporters via the Tribune after explaining that her stowaway days were over. "If I have a ticket to ride. Sounds like a song. But if I have that, I can go."
While Hartman certainly talked the talk, her notoriety continues to grow.
Hartman pleaded guilty to misdemeanor charges stemming from similar arrests at the two airports this past spring and was arrested in Florida in February after boarding a flight from Minneapolis-St. Paul to Jacksonville with no ticket and checking into a hotel room under a false identity.
Amid her continued efforts to sneak onto planes and restricted areas of airports without a ticket or authorization, Hartman has succeeded on more than one occasion, also sneaking onto a Southwest Airlines flight from San Jose, California to Los Angeles last August.
According to the Tribune, Hartman told her public defender that she's from Chicago, but has no family and has been staying at shelters throughout the city.
