Riviera River Cruises has completed a refurbishment of MS Lord Byron, which has now kicked off its 2024 season on France’s Rhône River.
The ship, built in 2013, has refreshed public areas and cabins, as well as a renovated stern restaurant. Designers also added new furniture in the lounge restaurants and cabins, and replaced the carpet throughout the vessel. The stern restaurant has new decor that complements its French-inspired menu.

The 360-foot vessel has a sun deck, a splash pool, a putting green, a panoramic observation lounge and bar, a main restaurant, a stern restaurant, and a spa and wellness area. MS Lord Byron can accommodate up to 140 passengers across 74 cabins and suites, which range in size from 161 to 242 square feet.
“Our much-loved ship Lord Byron is starting this season with a bit of a new look thanks to a refurbishment that will elevate the onboard experience,” says Marilyn Conroy, executive vice president of sales and marketing for North America for Riviera River Cruises. “We expect the new furniture and carpeting, as well as the new design and décor of the La Brasserie restaurant, will provide a warm and inviting environment for guests on our Rhône River itineraries.”
