Travelers who enjoy the sophisticated and classy confines of Small Luxury Hotels of the World's offerings have a new sleek app with which to enjoy.
As hotels continue to cater to travelers who are far more willing to book by app than by usual methods, it's not the least bit surprising that a brand like SLH would drop what looks to be a really intuitive and valuable app on its consumers.
Starting Tuesday, potential travelers can download the SLH app from iTunes (Android adopters will have to wait until March).

Via a press release, SLH reports what might be the impetus behind an app rollout: "SLH has seen a dramatic rise in mobile activity over the last twelve months with a 49 percent increase in visits to the mobile site and a 71 percent increase in reservations made via mobile."
As for what you can expect from the early version, the release was quite forthcoming: Visitors will get the ability to scour 520 hotels with a Google maps integration; photo galleries and detailed information on each hotel and its amenities; a "Book Now" button as well a way to touch base with SLH agents by phone; and a social media outlet for users to share details with friends.
As we reported back in November, mobile booking via app is on the rise throughout the industry-in some respects beating out mobile browser hotel booking.
Filip Boyen, CEO for SLH, seems to echo that sentiment with the following thoughts posted in a press release: "While we have always seen healthy visitation to our mobile site the increase in reservations being made via mobile in 2015 was striking and demonstrates how consumer confidence in making transactions through mobile devices has changed. The new SLH app provides a quick and simple way to enjoy any of our hotels, wherever our guests happen to be, around the world."

The travel industry continues to evolve to meet the demands of its consumers, a base of younger people who have no issue with handling a great deal of their respective travel issues by smartphone.
More likely, it is by those apps that will only help breed brand loyalty.
