As travel to Cuba continues its trend toward more openness, the range of available travel products is inevitably expanding. Not only more tours are being offered to Cuba, but more kinds of tours with more styles of travel, exploring a widening geographical area and meeting more of the subcultures of the island.
As part of this progression, Latour, the Latin American division of Isramworld, has introduced a series of specialty tours catering to different interests. The operator offers Shalom Cuba for a Jewish perspective and LGBT Cuba for LGBT clients. The company has now introduced a new Weekend in Havana program and a nine-night cruise from Miami.
Although there are always many people looking for traditional, mainstream, introductory and comprehensive types of tours, there is also a growing demand from special interest markets.
"We are seeing a strong trend for experiences that enhance travelers' lifestyles and interests," said Richard Krieger, Isramworld president. "In 2016 we have a wide range of customized groups including photography, cooking, fishing, cycling, even yoga. And we anticipate this trend to continue."
To jumpstart its new product season, Latour is offering a 12 percent travel agent commission.
