With travelers already planning their summer trips, Amtrak Vacations is happy to offer passengers the chance to see the United States in a unique and unforgettable way.
For those who love rail travel, Amtrak is offering customers the chance to save $150 per couple, or $75 per person, on select 2018 Independent Rail Journeys departing now through March 31, 2019.
To be eligible for the savings, consumers or their travel agents must book their rail journey by May 31. Prices vary depending on the package and include taxes, but the fares do not include the trip to the departing city.
One of the vacations getting the most attention is the 11-day Glacier National Park Discovery journey, which travels from Chicago to the Pacific Northwest, with stops in Minnesota and Glacier National Park. Prices for the trip on the Amtrak Empire Builder start at $2,599 per person.
Another vacation package making waves is the 10-day West Coast Spectacular journey, which visits Seattle, San Francisco, and Los Angeles. Passengers visit the Space Needle, the California Academy of Sciences and the homes of Hollywood's biggest stars for $1,799 per person.
For travelers who want to explore the U.S. like they were a modern-day Bob Dylan, Amtrak Vacations offers the 14-day Route 66 by Rail journey. With stops in Chicago, St. Louis, Albuquerque, Grand Canyon National Park and Los Angeles, the once-in-a-lifetime experience will cost travelers $2,249 per person.
Regardless of which journey travelers choose, the discounted fares will make it more affordable than ever to see the country in style.
