The Top 10 Least Crowded US Airports This Holiday Season

For those planning to fly, knowing what to expect at each airport in terms of how crowded it is will be an important factor this holiday season. LendingTree analyzed airports around the country to find the least crowded airports. You can check out the full report here.

The airport in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina (MYR) is going to be the least crowded airport in the country this December, with just under 50% of its average monthly traffic.

Portland's airport (PWM), has the second-lowest number of passengers, at 74,454 this month, as opposed to over 90,000 in 2019.

Anchorage (ANC) ranks third, with over 196,000 passengers this month.

Savannah, Georgia (SAV) takes fourth place, with 89.2% of its average December traffic going in and out of the airport.

Manchester's airport (MHT) ranks fifth, with only about 7,000 less people this year than usual, bringing the total to about 64,000 people.

Buffalo (BUF) is ranked sixth, with the average monthly passengers at 190,051. The number of passengers in December of 2019 was 204,491.

Albany (ALB) takes the seventh place, with 93.4% of its average number of passengers for December continuing to go the airport.

Pensacola's airport (PNS), had 91,151 passengers on average each month in 2019. This December, that number 87,475.

In ninth place is Louisville's airport (SDF), with 97.1% of its average monthly passengers using the airport this December.

In last place is Charleston, NC (CHS), with 97.8% of its average monthly number of passengers visiting the airport this December.
