Unless you're terrified of flying, flight delays are rarely if ever fun. But passengers waiting out a delay on a recent Southwest Airlines flight from Phoenix were rewarded for their patience.
In a recent post on Southwest's official blog, Southwest customer Remy Guercio praised the low-cost carrier and one of its gate agents for helping pass the time with multiple song renditions.
"It was during a delay on my most recent flight from Phoenix that a Southwest Gate Agent made the flight particularly memorable," wrote Guercio.
"He serenaded the plane with two special Southwest-themed renditions of 'Some Kind of Wonderful' and 'For Once in My Life.' It was a fun time for all onboard, and it really helped make the delay fly by," he added.
The video below shows said gate agent doing his best imitations of Soul Brothers Six and Stevie Wonder.
Guercio concluded his post by writing that "even though there isn't a serenade on every flight, it's always a pleasure to fly an airline with heart."
He's right in that not every delayed flight will inspire a gate agent to express his or herself through song, but at least you now know there's a chance you'll be treated to a live performance during your next delay aboard a Southwest flight.
