The Pebble Beach Resorts are some of the most prestigious and luxurious hotels and golf courses in the United States, and the company announced Wednesday that it has come to an agreement with Avis Car Rental to become the "Official Car Rental Partner" of Pebble Beach Resorts.
According to Avis, the agreement between the car-rental company and Pebble Beach includes working with The Lodge at Pebble Beach, The Inn at Spanish Bay and Casa Palmero, as well as many other opportunities to promote the brand.
From special offers for resort guests to being featured on the Pebble Beach Resorts website and newsletter, Avis will enjoy the full benefit of working with the resort while offering guests and golfers the chance to rent some of the best cars on the road.
One of the upgrades from the partnerships is the availability of Lexus vehicles at local Avis locations. For those arriving for their stay at Pebble Beach via the San Francisco International Airport, Mineta San Jose International Airport or Monterey Regional Airport, Lexus vehicles will be ready to rent at the facilities.
The Lexus models available include the ES 350, RX 350, GX 460 and LX 570.
Another interesting perk to the relationship for Avis is the ability for Pebble Beach Resorts guests to book their car rental reservations at the same time they are booking their hotel room or golf tee time online.
For those unfamiliar with the Pebble Beach Resorts, the beautiful layout is situated on 5,300 acres of coastal Monterey Peninsula in California. The property is also considered one of the world's foremost golf resort destinations, even being voted the "No. 1 Public Golf Course in America" by Golf Digest.
Not only has Pebble Beach hosted five U.S. Opens, four U.S. Amateurs and one PGA Championship, but it will also be the home of the 2019 U.S. Open.
The partnership with Avis makes sense, as the company has been the "Official Rental Car Company" of the PGA TOUR since January 2012.
