“The 2020 World Cruise is a fitting 25th commemoration of Crystal’s annual epic journey, as it encompasses so many of the remarkable types of experiences travelers have treasured on these annual larger-than-life vacations through the years,” said Crystal president and CEO, Tom Wolber, in a press release.
The sailing will showcase the Southern Hemisphere from Miami to Rome, visiting 47 cities in 23 countries from January 6th, 2020 to April 21st, 2020. Along the way, the Serenity will transit the Panama and Suez Canals and sail the Pacific and Indian oceans and Andaman, Tasman and Mediterranean seas. Also featured will be fascinating UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
The journey will additionally be available in shorter segments including an 89-day option from Los Angeles beginning on January 22, 2020 and ending in Rome on April 21, 2020. Seven briefer lengths of 13 to 18 days can also be selected from the overall route.

The new 2020 world cruise itinerary was revealed by Wolber to guests aboard Crystal’s current 2018 global voyages at Sydney Town Hall. Both the Crystal Symphony and Crystal Serenity met in Australia during their international routes for the event.
The 2020 world cruise and segments will first go on sale to 2018 world voyage passengers, priority waitlist guests and Crystal Society members before opening to general bookings on May 1, 2018.
Those reserving the full duration will receive a welcome celebration dinner, “As You Wish” onboard spending credits of up to $2,000 per guest, free private car and driver transfers between the airport and ship, two exclusive shoreside events, world cruise-themed shipboard events and special gifts.
The announcement comes soon after the Crystal Symphony was recently remodeled and before the ocean fleet is set to expand with a new class of ships in the next five years.
