To mark National Maritime Day, Crystal unveiled details about a dedicated 1,582-square-foot crew recreation area onboard Crystal Grace, which is scheduled to debut on June 11, 2028.
The recreation area, which will be situated on Deck 12 and accommodate 100 crew members, will include a 24-hour fitness center with Technogym equipment, a sundries shop, a bar, and a lounge with table seating and a 98-inch television.
Outside, the area will include sun loungers, a Jacuzzi and a shower area.
Crystal is also adding two new crew dining areas to Deck 3. “The plans reflect Crystal’s continued focus on onboard crew spaces as part of the vessel’s overall design,” the ultra-luxury line said.
Arguably, the crew aboard Crystal ships has long served as one of the line’s most valuable assets.
“Our crew members are at the center of the Crystal experience,” said Othmar Hehli, director, fleet human resources at Crystal Cruises. “Every day, they deliver the personalized service and genuine care that our guests have come to expect and appreciate.”
Added Abercombie & Kent Travel CEO Christina Levis: “Our crew consistently delivers an exceptional level of service and care, and it was important to us that Crystal Grace reflects that same standard in return.”
