Holland
America Line is helping cruisegoers plan ahead for the colder months by running
a sale on winter and spring voyages with up to 40 percent off of normal rates.
Available on a wide range of cruises, the “Save
on Sunshine” sale must be booked by August 20 and applies to sailings
departing from September 2024 through April 2025.
In addition to the
substantial discounts on cruise fares, the special promotion includes free
prepaid crew gratuities and a 50 percent reduction on deposits, sweetening the
deal even further.
“Soon enough
winter weather will have us all dreaming about cruising to warmer destinations,
and with the Save on Sunshine offer, travelers can plan a tropical vacation now
and take advantage of extra savings and amenities,” Beth Bodensteiner, the
chief commercial officer for Holland America Line, said in a statement given to
Travel
+ Leisure. “Save on Sunshine includes warm weather destinations such as the
Caribbean,
Mexico,
Australia,
Asia
and South
America, plus some of our longer Legendary Voyages.”
The "Save On
Sunshine" sale is available on a wide variety of global itineraries. These
range from a five-day Tropical Caribbean voyage aboard the Eurodam to a 21-day
Panama Canal journey aboard the Rotterdam, and even an 18-day trip around the
Hawaiian Islands on the Koningsdam. The promotion is also good on farther-flung
voyages to such exotic and epic destinations as Tahiti
and Antarctica.
Moreover, this
sale can be combined with Holland America's "Have it All" packages,
which offer such additional perks as shore excursions, beverage packages,
specialty dining and Wi-Fi. However, the offer does not apply to the line's
Grand Voyages or cruises lasting three days or less.
For those looking
for last-minute travel deals, Holland America also provides significant savings
through its Standby Program. This program allows guests to sign up to be put on
standby status for eligible sailings at a cost of $49 per person per day, with
confirmation of their trip coming a just few days before the departure date.
