Crystal River Cruises has welcomed its newest vessel.
The 106-passenger Crystal Debussy was delivered to Crystal president and CEO, Tom Wolber at the Crystal-owned MV WERFTEN during the official handover ceremony in Wismar, Germany.
Also in attendance were Tan Sri Lim Kok Thay, chairman and CEO of Crystal's parent company, Genting Hong Kong (GHK), Colin Au, group president of GHK, and Jarmo Laasko, CEO of MV WERFTEN.
Crystal launched its river cruise line in 2016 with its first river ship, Crystal Mozart. The fleet now includes sister ships Crystal Bach, Crystal Mahler and Crystal Debussy. Next month, the line will welcome Crystal Ravel.
Crystal markets its newbuilds (Bach, Mahler, Debussy, and Ravel) as the only all-balcony, all-suite, all-butler vessels in Europe. Every stateroom category is above the waterline, which is a noteworthy distinction. Additional features include walk-in closets and dual bathroom vanities.
"We look forward to welcoming Crystal Debussy to our river fleet as we continue to expand Crystal's hallmark brand of luxury to the river cruising industry," Wolber said. "She will debut next month with the same superior onboard amenities, caring service, world-class dining, complementary experiences ashore, and highly-sought after itineraries that our guests have enjoyed onboard all of our river vessels. Once again, the experts at MV WERFTEN have demonstrated their masterful skills and attention to detail."
Crystal Debussy will sail the Rhine and Moselle rivers between Amsterdam and Basel. Her maiden voyage departs April 9, 2018, round-trip from Amsterdam. The seven-day itinerary includes calls in Netherlands and Belgium. Ten-day voyages will also call in Germany and Switzerland.
