The Cousteau family has had a long and storied association with the ocean dating back to the family's legendary patriarch Jacques-Yves Cousteau, an explorer and filmmaker who pioneered marine conservation.
Cousteau's son, oceanographic expert and environmentalist Jean-Michel, has continued the family tradition, dedicating his life to underwater exploration.
For those who'd love nothing more than to sit at the feet of this explorer and learn all about the ocean's wonders, the opportunity has arrived.
Jean-Michel Cousteau has agreed to share tales from his lifetime of underwater adventures on three Crystal Cruises voyages to take place this spring, fall and winter. He will join one sailing each season aboard Crystal Symphony, Crystal Serenity and Crystal Esprit.
The voyages scheduled to feature Cousteau's intriguing presentations (which undoubtedly will attract a packed house) are fittingly diverse.
He is scheduled to join Crystal Serenity's March 12 Far East Vistas sailing from Manila to Singapore; the Crystal Symphony's November 8 Amazon Discovery round-trip from Fort Lauderdale and finally the Esprit's December 9 West Indies Yachting Explorer trip, which journeys round-trip from Marigot, St. Martin into the deep Caribbean.

"Our guests relish the opportunity to learn from leading experts as they explore the world, and Jean-Michel is the foremost authority on the very oceans they sail, as he's dedicated his life to conserving them."
In addition to lectures tailored to the region of each sailing, Cousteau will offer interactive and engaging presentations about his father's legend and his own legacy, as well as insights into ocean life that most captivates him, including the delicate balance of the roles of orcas and sharks.
The founder of the Ocean Futures Society, an organization whose mission is to inspire and educating people throughout the world to act responsibly toward the ocean, Cousteau will also share his conservation efforts with travelers.
