Regent Seven Seas Mariner has emerged from an extensive drydock in time to commence its Alaska season. The multi-million-dollar refurbishment has brought the ship in line with the Seven Seas Explorer, providing for a more consistent fleet.
Among the enhancements are new culinary venues, suite designs and guest spaces.
All restaurants, including the Prime 7 steakhouse, La Veranda and the signature Compass Rose, have been redesigned. New to the Seven Seas Mariner is Chartreuse, featuring modern French cuisine.
A new layout on the Mariner's pool deck features teak flooring, a mosaic-tiled pool, shallow-water ledge and plush daybeds. The Poolside Grill now sports infrared grills for made-to-order barbecue specialties.
Deck six features new teak decking and sun loungers, as well.
Interior public spaces include new art installations, carpeting and furnishings. The library is completely remodeled, and Coffee Connection has been expanded. The Card Room, shipboard boutiques, and casino have also been renovated.
The ship's Canyon Ranch Spa features a new design incorporating light woods and pebble-stone tiles. And there are new machines and equipment in the fitness and aerobics center.
In guest suites, new features include Elite Slumber Beds, padded leather headboards and new sitting area décor.
"I'm constantly amazed by the attention to detail that goes into our ships, and the newly refurbished Seven Seas Mariner is no different, from the luxurious décor down to the intricate design elements," said Jason Montague, president and chief executive officer for Regent Seven Seas Cruises.
"With the culmination of our fleet-wide refurbishment program, and with the construction of Seven Seas Splendor underway, we are perfecting luxury and indeed have the most luxurious fleet at sea."
Seven Seas Mariner's Alaska season will consist of seven, 10- and 11-night itineraries from Vancouver and Seward. The line features unlimited complimentary shore excursions and free airfare as part of its cruise fare.
