Actress Natasha Lyonne was reportedly removed from a Delta Air Lines flight at Los Angeles International Airport after refusing to comply with crew commands this week.
The 47-year-old Poker Face star was in town to walk the red carpet for the Season 3 premiere of HBO's Euphoria and was headed back to New York when the incident allegedly occurred.
A source told Page Six that Lyonne was seated in first class and appeared to be dozing off as flight attendants repeatedly asked her to put away her laptop and fasten her seatbelt for takeoff.
A Delta employee eventually boarded the plane and initially asked Lyonne if she needed medical attention. "Ma’am, I need you to come off the plane. Do you need help with your belongings?" the staffer asked.
The star then asked where they were before being told by the employee: "We’re still in LA. The plane hasn’t gone anywhere. The plane is not going anywhere until you come off it."
The plane began taxiing to the runway but ultimately returned to the gate, where Lyonne was escorted off and asked to rebook her trip on another flight.
"We have a passenger who, for whatever reason...wouldn’t follow some basic commands...We had a passenger who didn’t seem up to the task tonight, so that’s why they were asked to be booked on another flight—I do apologize for the inconvenience, but we will get you to New York as quickly and as safely as possible," the flight's captain told passengers.
The redeye flight to New York eventually departed for its destination without Lyonne, roughly one hour late.
