Just months after introducing its popular new Minnie Van rideshare program, Disney is rolling out another expansion.
When it first launched in July, Minnie Vans were only available to guests staying at Disney's Boardwalk Resort and Disney's Yacht & Beach Club Resort. By August, the service expanded to include guests at Disney's Wilderness Lodge, Cooper Creek Villas and Cabins, and Boulder Ridge Cabins at the Wilderness Lodge. By September, the Grand Floridian and Polynesian Village resorts were added to the list.
Now, with a further expansion to Disney's Contemporary Resort and Bay Lake Tower, the ride service is available to guests staying at any of Walt Disney World's deluxe resorts, according to Walt Disney World News Today.
The service, as explained on the Disney Parks blog, is a collaboration with the Lyft rideshare service. Guests staying at the included resorts must have a front desk cast member activate an extension to the Lyft app, as it is currently only available to registered hotel guests.
Although the Minnie Vans come with a higher price point than regular Lyft service, the Minnie Vans are operated by official cast members, which means they have undergone Disney's rigorous training standards. Additionally, the six-passenger vans offer free access to up to two child seats-which usually costs extra with Lyft.

Users activating the service will see the Minnie Vans designated on the Lyft app, including how far away the vehicles are and how long it will take to get to the intended destination. The price for one ride is $20.
