There you sit, laying out your chum-inspired spread, preparing to host yet another Shark Week party, knowing full well that you will never satiate that shark fix.
Fortunately, there are solutions that remain just beyond the couch, promising to sate that need to see sharks and the prey they feed upon.
It's time once again for the apex on the television schedule, Discovery Channels much-beloved Shark Week, filling hours of the day with a bevy of the most sinister beasts of the ocean world.

By Air: Southwest knows all too well that passengers are in love with all things Shark Week, so the airline has made sure to give you your fill and then some.
As MarketWatch reports, travelers were given exclusive content starting back on July 14: "Customers can enjoy SHARK WEEK content onboard Southwest Airlines' Wi-Fi-equipped aircraft via Southwest's exclusive SHARK WEEK channel. Customers will have the opportunity to view a never-before-seen special, Jaws Strikes Back , prior to its television debut."
By Sea:USA Today's Sarah Sekula profiled five of the hottest shark-infested dive spots. The video below shows Sekula literally swimming amid sharks while breaking down the five top destinations for shark-diving aficionados.
Number one on her list happens to be Beqa Lagoon, Fiji, which cinematographer Andy Casagrande describes:
"Fiji is home to dozens of shark species, but for some of the best bull-shark action on the planet, Beqa Lagoon is king. This dive has more colorful fish than any other dive I've ever seen. The massive bull sharks come in droves to be hand-fed by the local Fijians, and it's quite an impressive sight to see these supposedly super-aggressive sharks being gently hand-fed like puppy dogs. Along with bull sharks, you can see tigers, hammerheads and various other shark species."
By Land:Forbes' Larry Olmsted compiled a list of some more landlocked shark destinations: "Closer to home, there is an amazing shark diving experience offered in, of all places, Las Vegas. I wrote in detail about trying this half-day activity at the Shark Reef aquarium in the Mandalay Bay hotel casino a few years back, and it's still the most uniquely memorable thing I've done on more than three dozen trips to Sin City."
Olmsted goes on to write that fans of the beautiful and dangerous creature can enjoy dives at such places as "Colorado's Downtown Aquarium" and "North Carolina Aquarium on Roanoke Island."
So really, living near the coast is hardly a prerequisite to seeing some truly astonishing and possibly terrifying shark sights.
Now if you are unfamiliar with the kind of ridiculously captivating programming you will catch this week, take a gander at a man maneuvering through sharks while riding a board made to look like a shark:
For one week, you can sit on your couch and proclaim, "Nope, not even once!" as you watch researchers perform more like daredevils.
Sharks will swim, leap and bite, giving us the best reason to stay indoors this summer. If the mood strikes you, which we assume it will, you can walk out your door, hop in the car and head on out to really experience the world's most sinister animal. Or you could just wait till next year like us.
