Coachella is the perfect place to see myriad bands, test the limits of your inhibitions, cause a kissing controversy, and get caught in a chokehold by security.
The latter is what happened to Justin Bieber who was kicked out of the music festival on Sunday because the world continues to spin.
TMZ reported the 21-year-old artist who recently apologized for his famously bad behavior on Comedy Central's "Roast of Justin Bieber" was tossed from Coachella by security.
The website even has video that was purportedly shot on a potato. While you can barely see an image that may or may not be Bieber, it certainly seems as though they are being escorted from the premises:
Now it's easy to place the full complement of any blame with Bieber, considering his long legacy of acting out in public.
However, it seems things are a bit more complex. TMZ reports: "Bieber and his entourage walked to the artist's entrance where Drake was performing, when they were stopped by security and told the area was at capacity and they couldn't come in. Bieber and his crew showed security they had the proper wristbands to gain entry."
It's at that point that Bieber, according to bystanders who spoke to TMZ reporters, had words with security, explaining that not being allowed in the private section would lead to a Bieber-fueled melee by overzealous fans outside.
This argument with security continued until an official who was working the festival stepped in. Here is what TMZ says occurred: "At that point a Coachella staffer came up to Bieber and said she would escort him inside the artist's area. She grabbed Bieber by the arm and began walking him and his security team inside, when Coachella security came up from behind and put Bieber in a chokehold."
The singer is reportedly considering legal action after what was purported to be a voluntary departure from Coachella.
If an official did indeed squire the singer through the line only to have Bieber physically accosted, there may be something to the singer's claim.
In any case, Bieber is heading away from the festival with an outrageous story from the weekend, which is undoubtedly how the rest of you are driving back from the famed grounds.
No matter the hangover you countless masses are nursing, it could be worse. You could have made out with Madonna.
