Those visiting Las Vegas can explain that their shaggy facial hair is more about fiscal responsibility than it is about laziness.
Thrillist's Krisitn Hunt reports Las Vegas' Sin City Brewing Co. is throwing quite the innovative discount party for Movember. Sorry, that should read Movembeer:
"Sin City Brewing's 'MovemBEER' promo is based on five tiers of facial hair. A Chaplin gets you 10% off, a basic 'stache earns you 20%, any handlebars score 30% off, Einsteins net 40%, and full-on Fu Manchus (rightfully) bag 50% off."
Here is a handy graphic to illustrate what discount you can expect:
Female beer drinkers can get in on the action as well, because Hunt states, "As long as they tweet a photo of their finest finger mustache to @SinCityBeer with #MovemBEER, they qualify for the 20% off 'HOPprentice.'"
For the uninitiated, Movember is a movement (read: wave of scruffiness) dedicated "to changing the face of men's health," via Movember's website.
The website continues, "The Movember community has raised $559 million to date and funded over 800 programs in 21 countries. This work is saving and improving the lives of men affected by prostate cancer, testicular cancer and mental health problems."
Rather than raise awareness and donations, the movement seems to be the impetus behind some clever marketing for businesses as well.
If you are so inclined, you can show off your snazzy mustache at one of the three Vegas locations.
Not that we needed a reason to stop shaving, but the beer does help with any requests to shave that might come in the coming weeks.
