Travel expert Mark Murphy is all-new this week on the TravelPulse Podcast.
In episode 28, the TravelPulse founder reveals why now is the time for travelers to head to Vietnam in wake of President Donald Trump's recent summit in Southeast Asia.
"If you have never been to Vietnam, go check it out. It's absolutely amazing as a destination. It's raw. You want to go now and the reason is you want to experience it before it becomes homogenized," said Murphy.
"If you're going to go to Southeast Asia, check out AmaWaterways. You'll cruise the rivers and you'll do land portions as well. You'll go up to Hanoi and Ha Long Bay and experience that for a couple of nights on a Chinese Junk. Then you'll fly back down to Ho Chi Minh City and you'll get on the ship and head down to Siem Reap, Cambodia to see the temples," he added.
"It's about two-weeks all-in time investment and I've got to tell you, I've done it all and it's fantastic. Without a doubt, I can't recommend that enough."
Later, Murphy recaps his recent segment on Fox 29 Philadelphia comparing travel agents with online booking sites before diving into some of the latest headline-grabbing travel news, including a mother who handed out more than 200 bags of Korean candy, earplugs and a note apologizing in advance for any crying on a 10-hour flight; Alaska ski areas' push to serve alcohol and an airline suing a passenger who threw coins into a plane engine for good luck.
