Sailor Moon Short Film to Debut at Universal Fan Fest Nights

Universal Studios Hollywood will expand its manga and anime offerings during Universal Fan Fest Nights with the addition of Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon the Miracle: Moon Palace Chapter Deluxe, an original anime short film.

The experience will take place inside the park’s DreamWorks Theatre, where guests will watch a subtitled version of the animated story. The film follows the heroine Super Sailor Moon as she faces off against an enemy trying to acquire the Legendary Silver Crystal from the Moon Palace.

Universal Fan Fest Nights will run for 12 select nights: April 23-25; May 1-3, 7-9, 14-16, 2026.

The after hours, separately ticketed event is designed to celebrate the world of fandom through immersive experiences. Along with Sailor Moon, multiple other fan-favorite experiences will be featured during Universal Fan Fest Nights. 

• Scooby-Doo Meets the Universal Monsters: Mystery on the Backlot: A walk-through adventure featuring the Scooby-Doo gang and the Universal Monsters.
• ONE PIECE: Grand Pirate Show: A live performance based on the anime franchise One Piece.
• Forbidden Forest: A Search for the Hippogriff: A walk-through adventure set in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter
• Dungeons & Dragons: Secrets of Waterdeep: A fantasy adventure inspired by the tabletop game Dungeons & Dragons.
