The great thing about social media remains its ability to offer a brief portal where we can travel with some of the most renowned people in the world.
This week Prince William and Kate Middleton continued their tour of India and Bhutan, bringing with them a spotlight for places, people and events you might have previously ignored.
And that would be a shame for there is so much to appreciate from a region rich in history and steeped in captivating landmarks.
While we normally use this space to highlight a travel blogger, we though we would offer the stage to Kensington Palace's Instagram feed, which brought the world along with the royal family.

The Taj Palace
The Royal Couple began their tour of the region with a stay at the gorgeous Taj Palace in Mumbai.
The above represents a portion of the staff elated to welcome the Duke and Duchess.
As we mentioned in a previous article, this particular hotel was the scene of a horrific terror attack in 2008.
The visit offered a brief moment of respect and reflection.
Banganga Tank
It's easy to see why such a place would have legendary origin stories. Modern day travelers can come here to pay homage or just simply take in the beauty.
William and Kate managed to spread some flowers on the spring-fed tank in Mumbai.
India Gate
Standing as a massive beacon of intrigue is the India Gate, which is actually a marvel of architecture and a place for reverence. The names of fallen soldiers are etched into the war memorial.
Delhi

Kaziranga National Park:
It was then time to spread a message for conservation of the world's most resplendent beauty.
This particular national park lays claim to being a World Heritage site as well as home to "two-thirds of the world's Great One-horned rhinoceros."
Bhutan
And then it was time to visit Bhutan.

Archery:
As of this writing, the Royal Couple was in the capital city of Thimphu enjoying the nation's most prized sport.
Sadly, we have know idea if Prince William hit his mark. Not to worry, because there is no way you can derail a trip this rich in memories.
