Actress, two-time Sharknado survivor and person with an Instagram account Tara Reid decided to cause a minor stir by posting semi-nude pictures to social media outlets, ringing in the new year with flair.
US Weekly, Fox News and, at last count, a million other outlets were reporting on Reid who seems to be enjoying her holiday vacation in Tulum, Mexico.
While our own vacation selfies hardly garner a whisper of notice from relatives, the following was all the buzz on Instagram, Facebook and the like.
Be warned, the image is of a naked Reid covering herself with only her hands and it seems to have been taken with a potato or other non-traditional image-taking device:
Reid apparently had the 1980s Polaroid-quality filter on.
We can all rest easy, because it seems Reid had a good time on New Year's Eve. Other recent Instagram posts from her trip give a bit more information while also offering up the knowledge that the 39-year-old actress did in fact pack clothes prior to leaving for the Mexican resort area.
This one, for example, comes with the caption, "Caves are so beautiful in Tulum. I love it. Wish you were all here with me."
Others show the actress swimming and enjoying the confines of caves with her boyfriend, which should signal that Tulum is the place for general swimming and cave canoodling.
Now we had hoped 2015 would be the year when we finally kept to our diet, read more books and became generally better people.
From the looks of things, this year is essentially 2014 with fewer clothes. We were hoping for something more phenomenal, but we will take what we can get.
