London's most beloved high-functioning sociopath lives on in Shanghai in the form of a Sherlock-themed café.
Your daily pick-me-up is afoot.
The Huffington Post's La Carmina is a self-professed lover of theme restaurants as well as the hit BBC show in question, so the blogger went to visit the café dedicated to all thing Sherlock recently.
As she writes, finding the place may be a bit confounding: "The Sherlock Holmes cafe is called 221 B Baker Street. Don't ask a taxi driver to punch this into his GPS, since the actual address is 50 Ruijin 2nd Road (at Gaolan Road) in the French Quarter."
We imagine use of deductive reasoning will get you to the right spot though.
The report goes on to state that the interior takes a bit of a modern as well as a classic take on the character crafted by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.
Shanghaiist's Noelle Albert has also covered the café, doing so in a report back in February of last year.
Albert offers a glimpse past the images she provides, "And no Sherlock Holmes-inspired dig would be complete without a human skull resting on the fireplace and a yellow smiley face, an infamous symbol from the show's main villain, the shadowy Mortiarty."
As for the menu, both reports signal a dedication to the theme.
La Carmina offers on some rather delicious sounding fare: "'Mrs. Hudson's menu' includes Western sandwiches, cakes and drinks with Sherlockian names. I ordered the Moriarty, a devilish mix of coffee topped with vanilla ice cream."
The good news keeps coming as we previously noted a BBC theme park is now in the works, set to open in 2020. The London attraction would feature rides dedicated to works like Doctor Who, Top Gear and, you guessed it, Sherlock.
Until then, have fun traipsing the globe, looking for your Sherlock fix. One can be sated along with that jones you have for caffeine at 50 Ruijin 2nd Road. Although we forgive you if you refer to it as 221B Baker when you tell your friends.
