Universal announced the newest land for its upcoming Universal
Epic Universe theme park, coming to Orlando in 2025, would be called Dark
Universe.
The Universal Creative team partnered with Universal
Pictures to create the new land, which will feature classic horror characters
like Dracula, The Wolf Man, Frankenstein’s Monster, the Bride of Frankenstein
and more across attractions, shops, restaurants, and meet-and-greets.
As travelers venture through Darkmoor—the ravaged village
within Dark Universe—they will meet a new generation of monsters and
characters, including Dr. Victoria Frankenstein, the great-great-granddaughter
of the infamous Henry Frankenstein.
The towering focal point of Dark Universe will be Frankenstein
Manor, and guests can get made up to look like their favorite monsters, spin
through the woods aboard a family coaster, enjoy unique dining establishments, and
brave Universal Orlando’s most chilling ride ever.
Other top attractions include the Curse of the Werewolf
spinning family coaster, the Darkmoor Monster Makeup Experience, and character
meet and greets with unique monsters, such as Ygor, The Invisible Man, an
eccentric monster hunter and a talented musician.
For the foodies in the group, the ominous Das Stakehaus restaurant
is run by vampires, The Burning Blade Tavern frequented by Darkmoor’s monster
hunters, and De Lacey’s Cottage, where the original Frankenstein’s Monster once
lurked.
In April, Universal Orlando unveiled new details about the new
cosmic-themed hotels scheduled to debut with Universal Epic Universe in
2025. Universal Stella Nova Resort will open on January 21, 2025, and the
Universal Terra Luna Resort will open on February 25, 2025.
