On Oct. 18, 2016, AMResorts celebrated the grand opening of Breathless Riviera Cancun Resort & Spa - the first Breathless Resorts & Spas property in the Cancun, Mexico destination. AMResorts marked the exciting occasion in true Breathless style, throwing the biggest party of the year.
Exclusively held during Cancun Travel Mart, the #AllPurpleAllNight opening event was the ultimate party that only a Breathless resort could deliver. The sophisticated and chic event, complete with the brand's vibrant atmosphere, featured celebrity appearances by internationally acclaimed supermodel Adriana Lima who stunned during a fashion show, as well as award-winning DJ Kaskade who spun live sets that kept guests dancing all night long.
The highly-anticipated opening event was attended by members of the local government, industry professionals and media, including Enrique de la Madrid Cordero, Minister of Tourism Mexico; Carlos Joaquin Gonzalez, Governor of Quintana Roo; Alex Zozaya, CEO of Apple Leisure Group; Salomon Kamkhaji, President of Pulso Inmobiliario; Gonzalo del Peon, President of AMResorts, and Laura Fernandez Pina, Mayor of Puerto Morelos.
Following the unveiling of a commemorative plaque, a VIP book signing and an official ribbon cutting ceremony, Adriana Lima raised a glass in a special toast to the resort's opening and to the many unrivaled Breathless Riviera Cancun Resort & Spa parties to come.
The evening's non-stop festivities kicked off with live sets by chart-topping DJ Rhiannon and DJ Olga playing from an elevated DJ table above the pool. As guests enjoyed limitless food and drink, a fashion show headlined by Adriana Lima took over the event, showcasing the collections of top local designers Jorge Duque, Alexi Ulibarri and David Solomon. A firework spectacular ended the fashion show, which helped introduce Grammy-nominated singer, songwriter and producer DJ Kaskade. A foam pool party closed out the event as guests and entertainment teams kept the party going all night long.
