W Hotels Worldwide is celebrating its new W Bellevue with pop-culture pizzazz. The opening of its newest hotel in Washington coincides with what the company calls an industry first: Belle the Bear, an actual video game you can play right now.
Head over there at your own risk. Anyone who proclaims to be a Frogger enthusiast will lose a significant amount of time controlling Belle as it dodges and dives around various oncoming obstacles.
It's addicting and may just get in the way of leaving the website to do anything else on the Internet.
Anthony Ingham, Global Brand Leader, W Hotels Worldwide, explains via press release that Belle the Bear is a nod to the surrounding area: "Bellevue is a gamer's city, so we thought it would be fun to tap into that energy but with a W twist. Creating Belle the Bear, a throwback game with an innovative edge, is just another example of how we are constantly looking for new ways to engage with future W fans on their own turf. Plus, it's a fun way to celebrate the opening of W Bellevue!"
W Bellevue is the brand's newest offering and opened on June 15, promising refined comfort across 220 rooms and 25 suites. You can experience it yourself by booking online.
Then again, you could always become a renowned super gamer and win a trip by taking Belle on a virtual journey.

The game itself is filled with whimsy. Hitting a cannabis leaf turns this video-game bear into a gummy bear version of itself, which should please the pot-tourism fans in attendance. You can also flip the script and get Belle a little tipsy by hitting a cocktail symbol.

W Bellevue will grant a three-night vacation in its WOW Suite to the absolute best in the world at Belle the Bear. This grand prize includes roundtrip airfare for two people, dinner at the location's The Lakehouse and a $500 shopping bonanaza at The Bellevue Collection.
Speaking of The Lakehouse, SeattleMag.com had great things to stay about Jason Wilson's new project: "The restaurant's interiors mirror the sort of wealthy home I've only seen in movies: an open bar with low seating like a kitchen island, a butler's pantry filled with handmade ceramic serving plates, a communal table next to the front windows, white leather booths lit by porcelain antler wall sconces.
"The all-day menu (this is, after all, a hotel restaurant) is driven by the season's produce, with a few dishes meant to be big enough to share and a variety of smaller plates."
