Less than two months after unveiling Tru by Hilton, Hilton Worldwide has broken ground on its newest midscale brand's first hotel.
The fastest groundbreaking in company history took place this week in McDonough, Georgia, where attendees got a unique first-look at what the brand's debut property will ultimately entail.
In addition to 3D chalk paintings, there was an interactive photo booth set up that allowed guests to preview the hotel's lobby.
Once completed in the summer of 2017, the hotel will span four stories and boast 98 guestrooms.
As announced earlier this year, highlights of the coming Tru by Hilton properties include a four-zone lobby with areas for lounging, working, eating and playing as well as a reimagined front desk known as the command center.

Guests will also be able to build their own complimentary breakfast and access mobile check-in.
This week's milestone groundbreaking was accompanied by encouraging news for the new brand, with Hilton revealing it currently has 189 Tru by Hilton hotel deals processing, up from roughly 130 at the time of the brand's launch two months ago.
Global Head for Tru by Hilton Alexandra Jaritz called it "a disruptive brand."
"We know the brand will have broad appeal to Atlanta-area travelers who span generations but share a similar youthful mindset," she added in a statement.
"With Tru by Hilton, we are breaking through the clutter of undistinguished offerings in the midscale sector and delivering a hotel that travelers will want to go to rather than just through," said Matt Wehling, Hilton's senior vice president of development for North America.
