Preferred Hotels & Resorts has substantially increased its portfolio.
Thirty-five new member hotels across 17 countries joined the independent hotel brand between January 1 and March 31, 2018.
“Whether looking to experience South America, China or a multitude of destinations in between, travelers can now enjoy #ThePreferredLife while staying at distinctive independent properties in even more exciting locales around the world,” the company said in a statement.
The world’s largest independent hotel brand, Preferred Hotels represents more than 700 hotels, resorts, residences, and unique hotel groups across 85 countries.
Among the newly announced additions is Hotel Unique in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Located in the heart of Jardins, one of Sao Paulo’s most upmarket neighborhoods, the award-winning luxury hotel is designed by renowned architect Ruy Ohtake and is known for its distinctive crescent-shaped structure, considered an urban work of art and an architectural gem in Brazil.
The hotel features 84 rooms and 10 suites as well as a rooftop pool that offers 360-degree views of the city.
Yet another property to join the collection is The Source Hotel, in Denver Colorado. Scheduled to open this summer, the highly-anticipated hotel will offer 100 Scandinavian modern-minimalistic styled rooms featuring views of the Denver skyline and the Rocky Mountains.
The Source Hotel is adjacent to the Source Market, which has two market halls totaling 45,000 square feet, showcasing a collection of 25 artisans including a bakery, taqueria, modern wood-fired restaurant, barber, art gallery, coffee shop, kitchen goods store, apparel shop, florist, brewery, barbecue and frequent pop up events.
The Le Richemond, in Geneva, Switzerland, is another notable new name among the Preferred Hotels portfolio. The heritage property is located along the southern banks of Lake Geneva, offering guests views of Mont Blanc and the Jet d’Eau fountain in the distance. It features 109 rooms and suites and the only exclusive Spa by Sisley in the country.
