Outdoorsy travelers have a new place to stay while exploring the Green Mountains of Vermont: Outbound Stowe.
Modern amenities, New England craftsmanship, easy access to nature, the region’s largest outdoor pool and cozy guest rooms await at Outbound Stowe, which is part of the Outbound Hotels collection.
The brand’s newest outpost debuted last month on a 9-acre property near Mount Mansfield. It follows the opening of Outbound Mammoth in California and The Virginian Lodge in Wyoming. Next up, the brand plans to open Outbound Yosemite in the summer of 2025.
The 73-room hotel features a mix of accommodations, from suites and cabins to an 8-guest cottage and a loft suite in a converted event barn.

From the property—which is decorated with traditional Vermont woodwork and a color palette of reds, blues, yellows, greens and orange—travelers can easily access the Stowe Recreation Path and the West Branch Little River. It’s also located less than 10 minutes from the base of Stowe Mountain Resort, the popular ski and snowboard area.
Outbound Stowe is also partnering with TheGoodLife! to offer Camp Nice programs, a series of adult activity and adventure camps that have been running since 2014.
The hotel is designed to be “a place where guests can embark on memorable outdoor adventures while enjoying the comforts of our uniquely designed hotel," says Matthew Mering, executive vice president of hospitality at Waterton, the ownership group behind Outbound Hotels.
“Whether hiking scenic trails or relaxing by our pool, Outbound Stowe invites you to explore the beauty of Vermont in an inviting and vibrant setting,” he adds.
In late August, a new on-site restaurant called Eastside will open at the hotel. Developed in partnership with Folkart Management, the casual eatery will offer a diverse menu created by chef Mattias Merges. And, on September 21, Outbound Stowe will host a grand opening party with food trucks, a pop-up market, music and more.
